Vestibular assessment and treatment helps people who are trying to manage issues such as dizziness and or vertigo. There will be a thorough assessment from a physiotherapist with advanced training followed by the needed treatment sessions


Pelvic Floor

Woman's pelvic health physiotherapy can support you as your body adapts to the changes associated with pregnancy and delivery. They can also help manage pelvic organ prolapse, urinary incontinence, and pelvic pain. You may also benefit from pelvic floor physiotherapy if you have any type of pelvic floor dysfunction.

He has worked with Ontario Special Olympic and Canadian Paralympic Swimming, wrestled at the University of Western Ontario. He has a passion for distance running, both competitively as an athlete and as the coach of Whitehorse’s Endurance North Run Club. David’s education includes a kinesiology degree from Wilfrid Laurier University and a Masters in Physiotherapy from the University of Western Ontario. Trevor Hookham was born and raised in Whitehorse where he grew up playing competitive soccer and taking part in outdoor activities. He moved away to complete his undergraduate degree in Kinesiology at the University of Victoria and then graduate in 2014 with a Masters of Physiotherapy from the University of Manitoba. He returned to the territory shortly after a short stint providing therapy services in a small town just outside of Winnipeg.

Trevor uses a variety of treatment techniques learned throughout his degree programs and experience working with seniors for Home Care in the Yukon. He also has his acupuncture certification and plans to continue pursuing post-grad coursework. His interests include playing soccer, as well as hiking, skiing, snowboarding and playing bar trivia.

Kate McArthur was born and raised in Whitehorse. Kate grew up swimming with the Whitehorse Glacier Bears Swim Club, later becoming a swim coach and lifeguard at the CGC while in high school. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology at the University of Alberta in 2016 and her Doctor of Physiotherapy at Bond University in Queensland, Australia in 2019.

Kate grew her post-graduate skills for a year at a specialist paediatric physiotherapy practice in Brisbane, Australia before returning to the Yukon in 2020. Kate has worked with a variety of clients, from newborn babies to young adults, and various medical conditions. Kate plans to continue post-graduate courses specializing in paediatrics. Her interests are stand-up paddleboarding, running, cross country skiing, and playing video games when she has the time to spare.

Marissa is from Calgary, Alberta. She completed her Masters of Physical Therapy in 2014 at the University of Saskatchewan. She worked as a physiotherapist at a McKenzie clinic in Calgary before she moved to Whitehorse. Since graduating, Marissa has pursued the McKenzie Method and became a certified McKenzie therapist in 2016. She has also pursued further education into treating concussions and vestibular conditions.

He is a co-owner of PhysioPlus and has taken post graduate courses in manual therapy, Bahran Jam techniques, Sahrmann techniques, McKenzie, pediatrics, orthotics, ergonomics, acupuncture and Intramuscular Stimulation (IMS). Shane moved to the Yukon in 2016 and has never looked back. He has started a family and is embracing the Yukon lifestyle. His passions are; adventures with his family, canoeing, hunting and fishing and all variety of outdoor pursuits. He regularly competes in the Yukon River quest and has canoed across Canada.
